Wow, those renderings are really spectacular. I'd have to agree...the best i have ever sen as well. The buildings arn't too shabby, i just dont like the wind turbines.

These towers are definitely among my favorite 5 buildings currently u/c anywhere in the world. The wind engines will produce between 11 and 15 percent of the total electrical consumption of the building so it will also be a really environmentally friendly building.

BTW: For those who don't know...Bahrain is the name of the country. The towers are located in Manama, which is the capital of Bahrain.

Buildings are extremely impressive. Not sure about the fans, they take away from the vertical design and make the buildings look stouter, but the idea is still cool as hell.

i think this may be the neatest high rise project in the entire world right now. i love the design of the building, i love the name of the project (and what it symbolizes) and i love the wind turbines. i love that it's an attractive Green building, many of them have been ugly with stupid gardens on them. im sorry, skyscrapers shouldnt have parks or gardens on them.....this is a smart way to go. attractive to the eye, yet functionally green! LOVE IT

Spectacular. The wind turbines don't mess up the overall apperance either. The buildings seem to be aerodynamic so that should help in making the tubines as functional as can be.

Not really related to this project but here's a new 3-tower complex to be built in Bahrain financial harbour. I have to say this and the WTC wipes the floor with almost any other project going up in the world

Yeah, not much interest over here. In fact, not much interest in M.E. buildings in general. I have always thought that this was a beautiful design, so lets see how far they have come:

Some of the area looks like it is done:
July 16:
http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/4411/bahrain071607haeroldusku8.jpg

http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/3451/bahrain071607haeroldus2lf1.jpg

...and some looks like it's almost done:

http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/3440/bahrain040707awalibahrasd2.jpg

July 1:
http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/6074/bahrain070107eggmanmm5.jpg

July 19:
http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/8540/bahrain071907alzayerfj9.jpg

Super gigantic size:

...and a lot of the area has a long way to go:
