I'm not very good at this kind of photography. Most of my people pictures are of the environmental candid style, where what catches my eye is the juxtaposition of the people in their surroundings, not the people themselves. This is partly because I don't have the guts to take closeups of people I don't know. People often catch me trying to take their picture. I'm a creepy-looking dude with a big camera. ;)

I actually used to actively avoid getting people in my scenic photos, but when I saw what the many excellent photographers on this site were able to do with depicting how people interact with the city, I started trying to do it some.

I like to take scenic photos that show people interacting with the environment. That's something I've learned over the years of looking at photos on this site. When I was younger, I'd always try to get shots of buildings or other scenery without people in them whenever possible.

Believe me, it happens all the time, in school the teachers were always getting us confused. While we're not twins there are four days in August where we are the same age, he was born Aug. 27, I was born Aug. 23 the next year. Damn, Catholic parents sure are a busy bunch.
