No need for parking? It's refreshing to see buildings without parking blobs for a base and it says a lot about the city and its residents.

I'm not sure which development you mean specifically. These are some proposals for the area around Osaka and Umeda stations.

Viequ Tower Osaka, Apple Tower Osaka Tanimachi, and Sanctus Tower Shinsaibashi Milano Grande appear to have been completed.

I have updated the list with a couple new buildings, as well as added all images I could find for proposed buildings. I am interested in the Knowledge Capital Building, I like the design.

Since I am in Tokyo I can't check up on the progress of the buildings in person, so I am generally relying on the internet for my information. Because of this, it's not always the most up-to-date information, but I try. Thanks for your interest in the thread! Can I ask why you're interested in Osaka?

Because of this, it's not always the most up-to-date information, but I try. Thanks for your interest in the thread! Can I ask why you're interested in Osaka?

A few years ago I got the Millenium book of Osaka where numerous projects were announced and several finished projects were published.
I believe its one of the selden books that is printed of this city which does have more dan 10.000.000 people in its surroundings and nearly no one is giving it any attention.

I know Tokyo is the biggest in Japan but Osaka is nearly totally neglected.
The city spreaded along the changed riverbanks and many developments were built in the bay long before the Kansai airport was even built and those other many interesting things that were built.

The big problem is to contact local administrations, I've written dozen of e-mails to official organisations but until today I have to recieve my first answer.

The only answer I got was from the 2008 Olympic bid , they provided me with a wealth of information.
A true shame that the Olympics are held in Peking...

Osaka is by far the most under-rated megacity in the world !

To end with a question: are there any plans for line extensions in the local subway system? Several lines towards the new islands in the bay are run by trains or trams. To find info aboyt this...as usual :(

These projects are Nakanoshima districts.

Nakanoshima ia a strip of land sandwiched between the Dojimagawa and Tosaborigawa rivers.
Situated close to Osaka`s goverment and business districts and dotted
with museums and conference halls, the area is the hub of Osaka`s economy and culture.

Thank you for intersting commnet.
There are many differences between Tokyo and Osaka, but i like
both cities.
They are the two biggest cities in Japan.

The Kanasai region (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara) is the cultural and
