If you bring Brimley, make sure he stays away from the deviled eggs. They make him gassy and he can destroy your "new car smell" with one rip.

It wasn't off-track. Some just felt the picnic needed some extra attendees and some more lively food and drink.

It's not just CB that's had the makeover. Cleveland itself is also looking rather svelte these days.

So anyway, last night me and Virginia took Buddy for a walk on the Rock Island riverfront and what a perfect night for it, the weather was sunny and warming up and the sky was loaded with huge bald eagles doing some fishing before heading back north for the summer. What an beautiful sight as they spot their prey and then go into this incredibly fast, shallow dive and with one swipe of their talons they've grabbed a nice-sized fish and then glide to the nearest tree-top to feast. It literally took my breath away......

..........of course if I had me a gun, I'd be sportin' me a fine pair of eagle boots right about now.

I'm quite the opposite in the kitchen. For instance, I have a dishwasher but I sometimes pile dishes in the sink because opening the dishwasher takes too much effort.

We didn't have a dishwasher in my on-campus apartment in college, but my roommate and his live-in girlfriend did that constantly (and I was the one who supplied the dishes in our house). They never cleaned anything up, much less rinse off the dishes after use, and the smell was unbearable. Usually I ended up cleaning the dishes, and it was a half-day ordeal.

Also, I ended up sleeping on the couch whenever she stayed over (which was always) because it was a one bedroom appartment, which might explain some of my bitterness toward the concept of relationships.

Anyway, I'm kinda proud of this:

Angry Man's Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich

Ingredients:
Peanut Butter
Jelly
Bread
Knife (preferably not a sharp one)
Plate

Directions:
1. Take knife and 1 slice of bread. Get peanut butter on knife, then spread on one side of the slice of bread (don't spread on both sides unless you're retarded and like things messy)
2. Rinse/wipe off knife because I will hunt you down and slaughter your family if you stick that goddamn knife in the jelly jar while its still got peanut butter on it. There's a reason they come in two separate containers, folks...
3. Take (clean) knife and another slice of bread. Get jelly on knife and spread on one side of the bread (so help me god if you jelly both sides of the bread and make a mess)
4. Take the slice of bread with the jelly and apply it to the slice of bread with the peanut butter. Make sure the peanut butter and the jelly meet, otherwise you're an asshole who just likes to mess up my kitchen.
5. Put sandwich on plate. Do whatever the fuck you like with it, just rinse off the knife and put the peanut butter and jelly containers back from where you got them. How would you like it if I came to your house and made a peanut butter & jelly sandwich and not put anything back where I found it? And close that damn refrigerator door, I'm not paying to air condition all of Phoenix...
6. Enjoy, goddammit.

Someone thought it'd be a good idea to have horseshoes at a family outing a few years back. My uncle, who'd never played the game before, held onto the horseshoe for too long, throwing it straight up in the air.

Needless to say, everyone scattered about 50 to 75 yards away in every direction to make sure we weren't bopped on the head when the shoe came back down.
