Actually, I took the car to Midas for a second opinion. The mechanic who told me the head gasket was broken said the car had "about twenty miles left" before all hell broke loose. Now, me being the rational son-of-a-bitch that I am, was thinking "If the head gasket is busted, how is the car still driveable?", and the look on the mechanic's face at Midas when I brought the car in and explained what happened was priceless. Needless to say, the mechanic was trying to rip me off. Midas couldn't find anything wrong with the car, besides the transmission pan gasket leaking transmission fluid, but that's a repair for another time.

I like Skyline, which along with Gold Star (blech) are the "corporate" versions of Cincinnati chili. Many neighborhoods in both Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky have their own local chili parlors, with Camp Washington Chili and Dixie Chili in Newport being several of the better-known local chili establishments.
