As badly as I want the Avs off of our asses, seeing a much despised team who's fans passionately defended them from being called a Cinderella Team setting an NHL record for most consecutive losses is really hard to pass up. I mean, who knows when they will suck this bad again? Hopefully soon!!!

Hey Flames Fans!!! You Realize That 3/4 Of Team That Played In The Stanley Cup Last Year For The Oilers Is Either hurt, Sick, Or No Longer With The Team? we Are Fielding An Ahl Team Team Right Now. I Really Hope You Flamers Miss The Fucking Playoffs Too, Cause Your Team Aint Much Better, Sans Injuries!!!! Retards!!!! The Oilers D Is Down To 1 Veteran, Jason Smith!!!! Thats Not Even A Number 4 D On Most Teams!!!! Some Of You Have Seem To Forgotten That What Was Supposed To Be The Center Piece Of The Oilers Got His Dick Caught In Some Young Girl, And His Wife Caught Him And Demanded A Trade!!!! I'm Sure Your Team Would Be Down And Out Too If All These Changes Happened.
I'm Sure If We Fielded The Same Team, Without The Injuries, (even Minus Peca And Spacek Who Were Rentals) The Oilers Would Be First Or Second In The Division.

Now Bitches, Its 730 Am, I'm At Work, And Without Coffee. Wanna state another stupid statement?

been an oiler fan my whole life.

frankly, i hope smyth doesn't sign back with edmonton.

there is no way he should be getting ~$6MIL a year for putting up 70 points.

it's the intangibles you say?

well, his intangibles didn't help him win a cup did they?

after what is it now 11 or 12 straight losses, all since Smyth has been traded, I would tend to think that his "intangibles" certainly did a hell of a lot for the Oilers winning games.

...lowe did the right thing

care to retract that statement now?

True that.

They get 3rd or fourth, maybe a 16th pick (NYI) and a 24-28th pick (ANA). So we should at least get some good 2nd liners in a couple years. One of them might turn out to be real good.

It's too bad Edmonton has 3 1st round picks in this years draft which is considered to be among the very worst in terms of talent in years.

As for Smyth, the guy is good, but not great. The way everyone tlaks about him, and the salary his set to earn, you'd think he was a 40-50 goal guy... he is not. A tad overrated is what he is because of his style of play... which, believe it or not, is not game breaking ability like most $6M players.

Lucky? Come on, give some credit where it's due. Perfect pass from Tangs, perfect tip by Warrener. Not lucky in the slightest.

Great win! Fantastic win! I bet the Avs were in their hotel rooms in the first half of the third period thinking they'd only be 4 points back going into their game with Edmonton, but the team showed tremendous heart getting this win.

Now, we NEED NEED NEED to win on the road. Our season depends on it now.

I think the Flames will do it, they are desperate now, they have the playoffs in mind and are playing playoff hockey.

Colorado is finished their streak, 9 of their last 10 is really good, but Budaj and Theodore are still mediocre goalies. The Oilers HAVE to show up tomorrow. I mean seriously, 13 losses in a row? they can't be that bad, they have to win one. If they lose, don't invite anyone back next season, start from scratch.

Saw this in the Newspaper,

Edmonton, Canada - A seven year old boy was at the centre of an Edmonton
courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who
should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his
parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping
with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity
be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when
he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he
adamantly refused to live with her.

When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy
cried out that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of
the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently
a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of
allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child
welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Edmonton
Oiler's, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.
