Come to Halifax then. I've kicked a pigeon (or seagull i forget now) before because it refused to move. :P

Of the three birds in this city (pigeons, crows and seagulls) the most have to be the crows. Every sunset they group into a massive black blob and fly over to their nests at MSVU. It eerie to look up and just see blackness of crows over your head.

Interesting fact the ducks in the Publis Gardens sometimes fly over the gates and take a leisurely stroll down Spring Garden Rd.

But anyways here are some shots I took tonight in Halifax up around Fairview Cove;

Nice shots of the Halifax port Bedford. I guess times are tough for the East Coast ports as well.

This happens in Burnaby as well. 1000s of Crows fly in daily from all over Metro Vancouver to this one area near Still Creek.
I found some pics on Flickr.

I've noticed that while walking home from work down (or up?) Terminal. They come from the west and head east. Like thousands of them! Quite a sight. Once when I was driving down Grandview hwy by the new Walmart there were thousands sitting in the trees in that area. Reminded me of The Birds! Crazy times...

Did he chase after the swan into the pond or did he somehow lose his balance and fall in? Both scenarios would be equally hilarious.

That would be sweet. I'm guessing some of them must have some really nice secluded beaches that would be ideal for camping. I don't really know cause I've only ever been to Saltsping.

Actually it's Couche-Tard!

Mac's is a franchised chain of convenience stores that operate in Ontario and Western Canada. Mac's is owned by Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard.

and it's not everywhere in the World:
Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. is the largest Canadian convenience store retailer, operating or franchising over 5,000 stores across Canada, the United States, and in other countries. It operates primarily as Couche-Tard in Quebec, Mac's in Ontario and western Canada, and Circle K in Atlantic Canada, the U.S. and elsewhere, although a number of secondary franchised brands are also used.

You can call someone "un couche-tard" in the same way you'd call them a "nightowl". It is funny how I never even thought about how that name would sound in English.

The Circle K thing sounds really weird to me but it turns out that is how they re-branded the Irving convenience stores (which were pretty good - I like the junk food they carry more than BC convenience stores for whatever reason). This was done in 2008 and I haven't been back much since then.

Umm wtf is going on here??

It was an incredibly windy day and I believe I read in the paper that that boat was snapped from anchor from the marina at 1000 Beach. It drifted rudderless until it came ashore at the point above.
