After uploading a drawing you will be able to upload your original files from the page that follows.

There are some things you should know befure using this feature, so please read through this page first - http://skyscraperpage.com/site/document/?15
and this - http://skyscraperpage.com/site/document/?17

Note that other people are not able to download your files.

The form looks something like this
<img src="http://skyscraperpage.com/gallery/data/3038/1previewuploadoriginals.png" border="2">

If an error occures with the upload, you might just get a blank screen. Just go back and try again.

The reason I have put this in place is so that we can get a large collection of full sized drawings, and possibly make new posters with the drawings. But before using anyone's drawings for anything I will discuss it with them first.

That's great Dylan!
Waaaaay better than e-mailing the files to you :)

But I have a question - is there any way of uploading the "full-resolution" files AFTER the drawing was uploaded and approved - like for the buildings that are already entered?

Thanks

Yes, that is possible, but it is difficult to access, so I need so make some improvments.

Dylan! I just realized something. For Paintshop Pro 8, the default extension is pspimage. Could you add that in? Or should I just change my files?

Thats a long file extension! Unfortunatly I have designed the system to only accept three-letter extensions, so it would probably be easier to just change your files. :)

What version of Adobe Illustrator do you prefer? The latest is 10, it can be saved down but you will have troubles opening a newer version.

Upload whatever version you have. If you can provide a larg sixe PNG as well that would be great.

If we upload a large size PNG for future use in the diagram section(s), how will it get to be the right size for display purposes?

For example. If I upload a 4:1 and someone else uploads a 2:1 and yet someone else does a 1:1, how will all these different sizes get managed?

The PNGs you can upload aren't ment to be used in future diagrams. They are so the drawing can be looked at without needing a graphics program (like PhotoPaint or Illustrator)

It is possible already. Go to your diagram and click edit drawing and you will see the option.

Use this page to access your existing drawings to upload your original files, http://skyscraperpage.com/members/illustrators/drawings/?s=1&c=5&p=0&r=50

Realcity, yup AI files don't work, I gotta fix that.

Ryan, what page is that you are talking about?

On the program you are using go to save as and choose PNG as the file type.

I have a few large formats that I would like to resubmit (4:1 psd's) but it's not necessary to resubmit the 1:1 gif's because the changes are so small that they won't show up once reduced.

Is there a way to upload a new 4:1 psd or png overtop of a current version without having to make an entirely new submission?

Dylan- the drawing list page isn't working.

Chris - The link you say is not working is supposed to give you a file download, as opposed to just displaying the image in the browser. I have tested with Internet Explorer and Netscape, on PC. (IE even has a bug that I had to work around.) What browser are you using?

Kelvin - Can't do it that way yet, I'll work on it.

Buck - Fixed.
