That huge vacant swath of land directly to the east of the downtown has a RIDICULOUS amount of potential. I hope to see some good density in there someday!
Thanks for the tour... Sacramento is probably one of the most forgotten about 2 million person metros in the country.

All I can say is Wow!!
Incredible aerials KC..
Some of the Sacramento forumers have heard me say before, that Sacramento will always be one of my favorite midwest cities (even being on the west coast).. So much charm and potential and finally looks to be on a roll.

I think your talking about the Union Pacific Railyards, which will hopefully start construction in the future on the first of 10,000 high density residential units, retail, a new perfroming arts center (hopefully) and a canal district.
Thanks for the tour... Sacramento is probably one of the most forgotten about 2 million person metros in the country.
That's the truth!!
But KC really did an excellent job of capturing the city from the sky...

KC, when are you going to come to Austin/ San Antonio? Your pictures are the best, I really want to see you come to the Texas capital and show us our city from above. Thanks

Thanks everybody. I enjoy posting these photo threads! Although I don't have the time or patience to wait for this site as it is just too slow, I have to sign on every time I pull up the site and it's always a ten minute process just to view a thread, if you are able to at all. I was just wondering if I am the only one that has so much trouble???
I must get back to my websites, they desperately need some tlc.

Really great..thanks!
I love the "garden city" look.
Comparing Sacramento with San Jose your pics show why I think Sacramento is really Northern California's Second City. BTW Sacramento was California's Second City during the Gold Rush and the first generation of Chinese immigrants called Sacramento -"Yee Fow" (second city). Having said that there really only one true city in NoCal and that SF.

Looking at these pics again makes me think I need to take a trip home... soon. I know these pics are only a year old, but they already need updating. ;) There's one 400 footer just completed across from Wells Fargo, as well as another tower just topped out next to the Ziggurat, and one more 400 footer with steel rising at about the 8th floor as of this month.

Haha, this reminds me of how my fellow NHL fans are always degrading the NBA in hopes that our league will surpass it to become the 3rd most popular in the nation. I see the same on MLS boards when talking about the NHL. Always looking to pull someone down...
