I think she spent most of her time in Kumasi and then travelled around. The beach pics are from Elmina I think.
I have to ask her because I forgot the names. I know she visited some national parks and also saw elephants (those pics wouldn't have fit in this thread though). She only spent about 4 days in Accra, but was sick the whole time and had to stay in bed, that's why there aren't any Accra pics.
She travelled alone and never felt unsafe.

It sure is a beautiful country and I hope the econmy will imrpove so that in the future more tourists will visit the country.

Of all of the pictures of urban scenes, and the beautiful buildings, and cities posted on this forum I've seen. Not a one of them top what I've just viewed in these photos. I found this thread quite fascinating, and educational at the same time. When I was younger, I spent two summers living with a Ghanaian host family a little bit outside of Accra. I know it's a bit of a cliche to say, but the people in Ghana are so friendly and welcoming. I would spend a lot time traveling around Accra by myself using the minibus taxis that everyone crams into (including at night), and I never felt threatened even though people could obviously see I was a foreigner. People used to come up to me all the time and try to give me directions to make sure I wasn't lost. While in many developing countries I would have been a target for theft...in Ghana people were always genuinely trying to help a visitor!
