This is my first thread with my new camera, a Canon Rebel Xti, so please forgive some of the quality as I was being quite experimental to learn how this new baby operates. This should be my last Detroit thread of the year as I will be in Chicago next weekend and south Florida over New Years!

Enjoy!

I see Erica has made her forum debut.

Hooray for Noel Night!

The fountain at Cranbrook remains one of my area favorites.

Nice start with your new camera. They'll only get better from here on!

I see you saved the best picture for last. Those Dearborn folks are lucky with that view.

MGM isn't looking half bad. In fact, I'd say it's looking better than half good. :)

But, the WSU shot is also tied as my favorite:

I also like this pic. Rough neighborhood, I know, I grew up in that general area. So I suppose you can call that sign ironic ?

Awww... it has gotten friendlier I'd say!

What area of the city were you from Exodus? I think you'd really be impressed with some of the rehab beginning to creep back towards that area of town!

What area of the city were you from Exodus? I think you'd really be impressed with some of the rehab beginning to creep back towards that area of town!I grew up on the west side in the Michigan/Livernoise area. I've also spent several years on the southwest side around the Vernor/Springwells area. And I know about some of the infill between 32nd and 28th, because I grew up on 29th. The infill project is named Newberry Estates, after the school I attended.
