Vancouver for years has had "christmas cranes" where cranes at building sites get all decorated in lights - some have been quite elaborate and had moving pictures etc in them

^ Wierd!!! I went running in downtown L.A. just a couple hours ago and saw a crane with Christmas lights on it and thought "how odd", but apparently it happens elsewhere
