gotta say that I really like the new design(at least what I can see from that lousy drawing) but it looks like they shortened the tower quite a bit...only 60 floors! What's up with that?;) I'd kill to have this nice and high going up in my neck of the woods!

the city siad it was too tall and plus it didn't have a good street facade. Also it cast a shadow on City Hall.

But, be warned that after it was first turned down, one of the two lots that the building was planned for (ie 56 Temperance St and kept only 66 Temperance St) has been since sold (and not to Stinson) and developed on, so the proposal now is only on half the land of the original, so it may be turned down for that. Is Stinson serious about this project, or is it just a show to save face?

I would have preferred they built the original someplace else, especially to space out the skyline better.

The original was far to Dubaiesque for Toronto, never would have fit in anywhere in our skyline.

For the love of god, just bring back Downtown Plaza and forget about all this Sapphire crap.
