View Full Version : Rapid City, South Dakota's BEST Skyline!!!

Here are a few pics of South Dakota's best skyline. Nestled within the beautiful Black Hills and with a metro pop. of 120,00 Rapid City is second to none in South Dakota. Sioux Falls may be bigger but Rapid City's skyline and setting just plain have it beat (which isn't really saying much but hey it's South Dakota). http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f196/bcfranke/Canon1118.jpg

The building with the gold colored top on the corner is really a classic. I know there's not alot of very tall buildings in the Dakotas but there is some interesting architecture. Thanks for posting.

It really is nice, the pic with the Happy? is the roof of the onion dome building. I need to get out in the morning and take some better pics but I just don't like to get up that early.

Always nice to see more pictures of lesser-exposed cities here on SSP.

The thing on the left in the last photo is very interesting.

Here are a few more I took from just outside Rapid City in the black hills and badlands region.

Does this belong in the Mountain West? I thought it belongs in the Mid-western States. Just wondering, no Biggie.

With the Black Hills, it looks mountain-west like. We should give them a waiver. :D

I did post in the midwest as well. We're about 150 miles into the mountain time zone but it's kinda on the fence.

Yeah summer is nice but winter can be too, if we could get some snow and a little less wind that is.
