The press is a wine cafe'/restaruant located in one of the New Orleans stlyed buildings. on Thursday evenings you can here live jazz and blues music. Artist can sell the works in the cafe' and they can also create their paintings in the café for immediate sale. Writers will have their poems, short stories and excerpts from their work published in the menus. and on a nice day they set tables and chairs out on the sidewalk. The restaurant also has wifi so you can get on the internet wireless with your laptop.

These tower homes are very interesting. 4 floors all together if you include the rooftop terrace.

I have to hand it to Greensboro...those are some nicely scaled infill developments. Downtown is becoming a neighborhood with a pretty good choice of diverse housing stock.

I have to hand it to Greensboro...those are some nicely scaled infill developments. Downtown is becoming a neighborhood with a pretty good choice of diverse housing stock.

This is probabally the best example of infill development in North Carolina and one of the best examples in the country. Southside is very unique, nothing like it in the state. The number of living options, architectural styles, materials and colors used in this development is amazing and they all blend together. Thats not very easy to do. Southside serves as a model for all communities in how to transform a delapited neighborhood into one of the cities greatest assets. It was only 15 years ago when Southside was a haven for winos, drugs, prostitution and other crime. The turn around in this neighborhood is amazing. Now we have $400,000 residential properties and an upscale wine cafe/restaurant in this neighborhood. This development has been so successful, its going well beyond its origional plan. In the begining, the southside development was not meant to be this large.
