My Dad sent me a new camera for X-mas (I didn't want to wait until X-Mas to open it haha), so now i can finally post some decent pics on here. Today i went to my friend's new apartment downtown and took some pics of the view from the 4th floor. I told her that if she ever moves out that I'll gladly take over the apartment just for the view.

On my walk to her apartment I snapped a pic of Main Street.

Now for the view, NB looks good from this angle.

Here's a little parkette that used to be the site of NB's flatiron building which unfortunately burned down in the 1960's. :(

That's City Hall poking up over the storefronts, followed by a zoomed in shot of some of the storefronts.

Check out the new houses being built on top of the escarpment several KM's away, nice view if you can afford it!

Here's downtown's tallest building, now that's a lot of antennas!

Here are a couple of pics of some old buildings and some not as old buildings!

On the way back home, i got a couple more shots of NB's Main Drag at dusk.

That's all for now, thanks for taking a look!

^ HaHa Yeah, NB is surrounded by little Francophone towns on 3 sides (only the towns to the South are Anglo). North Bay itself is largely Anglo, even the people with French names from NB who went to French schools don't have any hint of a French accent, and they don't bother speaking French unless they have reason to do so.

Time for more pics! Today I took my camera to the overpass that connects West Ferris to the City Centre, and got some shots of big, bad downtown NB.

Behold downtown North Bay! http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y142/Softee2/Downtownfromoverpass12-22-06.jpg

Too bad today was such a gloomy day in The Bay.

My pleasure, but i'm not finished yet! haha
On my walk to my mother's house on X-Mas Eve, i stopped to photograph my favourite old building downtown - the Masonic Temple (i know it's a bit crooked).

Here are some more pics I took on X-Mas Day in a slighty gritty, largely Italian neighbourhood that sits atop a small hill just North of downtown and not too far from my mother's house. Most of the houses in this neighbourhood aren't very nice, but the view is great.

Strolling around in The Bay on X-Mas Day! Looking South towards downtown.

The next group of pics were taken from the grounds of one of NB's 3 Hospitals.

This one shows some of the nicer old brick neighbourhoods just at the bottom of the hill.

I'll end this mind-blowing tour with a couple of shots taken from my apartment window, these two buildings are right beside each other, i call them brown and browner!

That's it for now (until i get some new batteries).
