I went downtown after the game. WOW!! Thousands (peacefully too) stormed the streets and up to the Capitol building. Chanting, celebrating, and enjoying this HUGE win. Cops had to stop traffic in the streets due to the large amounts of people.

Well, we saw the same faces on the BSU fans after OU tied and then scored on the interception.

I watched all of the OU games and caught many of the BSU games on ESPN all season, I knew it would be a tough game. In this age of parity about anyone in the top 30 can beat anyone else on a given day. BSU beat a good OU team, an OU team that did much better than I expected them to. At the beginning of the season there was no way that I thought they would make it to the Big 12 CCG or a BCS bowl....of course we have the Whorns to thank for tanking at the end of the season. Which they were "rewarded" them with a local bowl against a mediocre Iowa team that gave them quite a game. I would like to have seen BSU against one of the better teams, they could give anyone a good game.

What irritates me is the "prevent" defense, it cost both teams. It let OU move down the field for the tying score and BSU do the same at the end of regulation. You just can't let teams get those kind of chunks in yardage, it gives them too many chances when they are in good field position.

If it had been close, I would think Boise State deserved a look. However, I think Florida proved they were the national champions within the system we live in now. Is that completely fair? No, and that's why I started off with the call for the playoffs. I would think their would be more of a case if Boise State had blown out Oklahoma, but they didn't. Oh, yeah, definitely. I didn't doubt Boise State beforehand, and they showed they were a great team. That is the problem with the system now. Boise beat Oklahoma, but would they have beaten Florida, OSU, Michigan, USC, LSU or Louisville? ( anybody could have beat notre dame or wake forrest :haha: ). We don't know. The only way to know would have been a playoff.
