So today was a cold winter's day by Ise Bay...waited for the 747LCF to show to pick up the first 787 wing sections for delivery to Boeing but she never came. Found out when I got home that the first delivery has been delayed two days due to some problems at Mitsubishi. At any rate...the day wasn't wasted...

The A346 is the best looking widebody out there, IMO - and great to fly on, too.

OK, so it is. But except for length, the A345 and A346 are almost identical in appearence, so I'll modify my statement and say that the A345/6 are, IMO, the best looking widebodies out there. The bigger engines compared to the hair dryers on the 342/3 make all the difference.

your opinion :) the wingbox is mounted awfully high and that bulbous center fuel tank/wing root fairing is quite ungainly. the wings and engines are fine but that's the case with all the Airbus widebodies.

hard for anything to beat the 777's gulled wings and refined empennage in my book.

All I can say is that I've seen both aircraft in person, and I know which one impresses me more - the Airbus. Maybe it's the 4 engines, or the triple bogied landing gear, or just the absolute length of the thing, but whatever it was I was totally blown away by the 346 when boarding from the tarmac at Doha. The engines and size of the 777 are impressive, sure, but I prefer the lines of the 345/6.

Still would like to fly on a 777 someday though.

Cool shots - a lot of good action at NGO it seems!

I'm with the Chemist when it comes to the A345/6 being the most beautiful wide-body aircraft in operation today. I wish I could see it in more airlines' colours though!

Thanks for sharing, uf. ;)

Yeah not too shabby :)

The old Nagoya airport maxed out at 8 million pax but last year NGO was up to 12.5 million. Hopefully this year it will continue to increase. Cargo has been booming as well with Singapore Cargo, Korean Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo, Air Hongkong, UPS, FedEx, NCA, JAL Cargo and Cargolux all making stops here.
