Bachelor of Arts - My major was history, but I graduated with the minumum number of history credits allowed. I mostly did economics, political science and geography. Where I went to school urban planning was considered geography. I had enough credits for a minor in geology but I wasn't allowed a declared minor in a non-arts or social science faculty!
I got A's and A-'s in urban planning, if I tried that again I would probably be hanged saddam style.

I was not shocked, but rather VERY impressed when I read JW's reply as well.
Congrats Jeff.
IU is one of those schools that you wonder if it's populated by robots rather than an actual human student body so to speak. It's graduates are on another level as far as I've noticed. The standards are stratospheric, even for acceptance.
I have a friend whom is an absolute musical prodigy. He can hear a song once and play it on any of 20 instruments, but IU was less impressed. I was shocked. He was never accepted. Although now pursuing a degree at another prestigous school, IU was all he would speak of for years previous.

I've worked as a medical lab tech; a management consultant; product management positions in telecom, software and health sciences; investment banking and ran a couple of small businesses.
I worked full-time during all but my undergrad, including completing each of an MSc and MBA in less than 2 years while working full-time. The last 2 MSc were part-time through distance learning. Basically, my employers offered generous educational assistance programs, so I took advantage of it.
I've never had any interest whatsoever in academia or research, so a PhD was never in the cards. My interests are diverse, so I've covered a wide gamut.
I always wanted to do an MD, but didn't get in because the schools seemed to prefer BA or Kinesiology students that took 5 years to get a undergrad. When Maria got a job offer in Hong Kong that was too good to pass up, she used her influence to get me into an MD program over here as she knew I'd be miserable working a hierarchical corporate culture, assuming that I would have been able to find something at all. Plus, I'm basically Mr. Mom now, so I need something where I can be at home a fair amount of the time with flexible work hours. I'm an insomniac, so I usually study after Maria goes to sleep. The plan is to do the internship somewhere else, so we can be out of Hong Kong before the kids get too established.
