In Europe it's plenty of Tv-towers and masts that are located on mountains, what are your thoughts about that? Is it a shame to the nature? Or is it the nature's skyscrapers? If you have some tv-towers in your area located on woods/hills/mountains this can be a good question... personly I think it mostly fits perfect, but I haven't seen many examples in real life outside Norway, so then remember pictures are always velcome, then it's easier to discus what fit in good, and what is totaly out of the place.

I can start with the best example in my area:
Ulrikken Tv-tower or as we say in local "Ulrikksmasten"
it's located on the top of the Ulrikken Mountan(642m)
the tv-tower is 78 metres tall. For me it's a symbol of Bergen, and it fits perfect with the mountan!

Bergen looks very nice.

here is a very similar concept in Zagreb (Croatia) they put 169m TV transmitter on top of Mt Sljeme (1035m). It transmits TV signal to whole Central and Northern Croatia.

yeah looks like a similar thing.
although it's more massive because it's sending signals to whole Central and Northern Croatia! Looks like it's an observation deck on the top, is that right?

Here is another tower! It's located on the Kattnakken Mountan on the Stord island in Norway(the mountan is 724m tall)

I think this tower also fits good with the nature!

Yep, structure was built in 1973, the observation platform u are talking of, is a restaurant and cafe bar, as you know Sljeme is a host to world cup events in skiing.

Not sure if restaurant is open though.

TV Towers and TV Masts on mountains have to be built for standing enormous wind forces. Also huge iceloads have to be considered by their design.

I think that's an important point!
The most towers I've seen actully looks better from long distance!
So that's right.

TV Towers on Mountains have to be designed to withstand large wind speeds ( 200 kilometres per hour and more). For such towers the use of reinforced concrete is best, as such towers look much nicer than steel towers.
Guyed masts on high mountains are in many cases not a good choice, as they sway more in the wind and as there is often no site available for basement foundations. Nevertheless, there are some guyed masts on mountains as on Raicberg in Baden-Württemberg and on Kreuzberg near Bischofsheim in Bavaria.
