This has been taking me forever to do because I have no access to a slide/film scanner; the ones at school are broken, not setup, or in this case break down after every scan. I really need to just buy one, but until that happens I will continue to suffer.

It's on the corner of Lyon and Arlington (Arlington Apartments).

Yay! Not only did you get a shot of that crazy apartment block, you've profiled my avatarsake beautifully. Well done!

Heheh good observation. That was my first visit to the museum, it was really great - especially all the concrete.

This is nice.
Dunton Tower?

Yeah! It would be nice to go back up again and see people skating around Dow's Lake when the canal opens.

WOW! How bold... I would LOVE all that natural light.

I have mixed feelings about this house. Windows look cool but I wouldn't want the entire neighbourhood looking in and it is most likely very inefficient thermal-wise.

VERY NICE PICS THOUGH!

I enjoy Clemow House because the architect's intentions are so clear; allowing nature to flow through (Central Park) the spaces. In terms of privacy, the most public spaces are purposely presented as highly open areas, while the private areas are set back on the upper level (creating a new outdoor rooftop space). A very simple modern house with a well organized program - for me, the nicest in Ottawa. Some images from the architect:

Aside from that regretfull clash of styles in your 2nd pic. Ottawa's looking sleek.

Like the pics. House is great except wood accent on house don't quite work with rest of cladding. Layout and windows plus stairs look great. Significant renos are usually harder than starting from the ground up. - ice
