The construction alone in downtown Miami is breath taking! I probably have captured only 15-20% of all the projects going up!!! And I live in Chicago...so to get me all bothered.....about cranes and high rises going up is hard to do...but Miami did it!

was waiting for these Chicago3rd! I see you made it onto our peoplemover & Metrorail which gives great views of downtown. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate more since it's usually sunny in January. Thanks for the pics.

That was the cloudiest day. And it was nice and warm and our coolest day 79F. After that we spent more time at the beach and south beach and had great weather!

It was while on the people mover that I saw all the construction not seen in these pictures. The windows though were really dirty so I couldn't get shots of all the started highrises.

I don' know the building, but it is just north of the 4 seasons on Brickell...has the nice concave dip in it center (completed in 2004). What is up with all the broken windows?

That would be Espirito Santo Plaza. It was severely damaged during the 2005 hurricane season (by Katrina and Wilma specifically) and still hasn't had all of it's glass reinstalled.

Don't usually see these views in tourist shots. Well done.
Coconut Grove station is my stop for work. It's a pedestrian's nightmare, but you do get some great sunsets while you wait.

Great photos and I am sure Miami is a wonderful city but there is something odd to me about it. Something about it feels disconnected... I think it has something to do with the elevated train, but hey, I am all for mass transit. I really like this picture:
