I think we should have a 'drawing of the year 2003' to encourage people to draw picutres. I think each editor should maybey nominate a drawing that is not their own, and then we can start a poll in the forums of each editors choice. Also, i think there should be 3 catagories. 400m+, 100m+, and less than 100m. What do you think?

a year is too long. i don't have a two day memory, let alone a 12 month. how about a drawing of the month, then at the end of the year the 12 compete in a poll?

Well, mpls - didn't we start like in the beginning of this year putting a date when a drawing was added - so when you put a mouse over - you can see a year...

There could be weekly or bi-monthly nominations that lead to a year's end finals

Woul be really good if a medal, gold letters, or something is added near to the winner drawing.
BTW; the name of the award?

Yes - monthlys would be good. The monthly winners could then go into the pool for the annual competition.

IMO: Each month may be boring, envy and arrogance every four weeks would make it obnoxious.

Yes, I think that we must do it every year.
The categories that I proppose:
-The best drawing
--The best shape
--The best detailed drawing
---The best high rise
---The best mid rise
---The best low rise
---The best improve in a diagram.
What do you think??
Cesar

We would need high/mid/low-rise definitions (perhaps >175m [574'] for a highrise and <75m [246'] for a lowrise)
When you say most improved diagram, do you mean in comparison to the diagram it replaced regardless of who drew it; or do you mean between versions of the same building submitted by the same illustrator.
When you say best detailed drawing, do you mean in scales larger than the diagram convention (1:1)? Should we have categories for best detail at 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, other?
Cesar

About the heights of lo, mid and highrise I'm agree with the numbers that you wrote.
About the most improved diagram, I mean the diagram of one city, how the diagrams of that city was improved on this year.
The detailed drawins, I propouse to put on this category the drawins with scales of 3:1, and 4:1.
