I thought that the red glass would be more vibrant. It's not really that noticeable from a distance.

It will be most notable when the units are lit up at night. During the day, it really just adds some texture to a fairly boring glass curtain.

Panorama doesn't look to shabby. 100 Yorkville isn't too bad either although I was expecting a little more for it's pricepoint and location. The green clad penthouse was a poor choice, IMO.

The picture of 500 Sherbourne doesn't do it justice. The cladding is just horrible in a part of town that could really use something nice; height wise.

Drum ain't about creating photographic/artistic masterpieces.....he's just about giving us the lowdown from the construction site.

From the photos he has posted, you get a good idea of what's happening at the BA and Trump sites from above, and at ground level. (i.e reflecting pool installation, sidewalk finishing, historic facade, elevator shafts, interior & public plaza)

Place du Quartier des Spectacles ( Entertainment Neighborhood Place)
A gigantic, modern, urban park worth about 30M$. It will feature the biggest and most modern water fountains in Canada ( the fountains are worth 5millions alone).
The place is scheduled to open in June 2009, and will be inaugurated by a gigantic free concert with Stevie Wonder and others.

l'Adresse Symphonique was announced today. I was worried that this was going to be another Jack Diamond snoozefest but it's gorgeous, wood everywhere and a huge pipe organ. QdS is going to be fantastic in 3 years.

This will keep Kent Nagano with l'OSM.
