How long until we see some movement on this site? In early January 2007 they were supposed to be applying to the City of Toronto for site plan approval and building permits. With construction of Canada's first Trump property expected to begin in July 2007. Though I can't find any updated info on it.
How long until we go from this..........

Depending upon how good their pre-consultation and responses went it could be very quick.

Hard to imagine you missed it. It was a press release. Funding secured, construction in the summer, etc.. etc.., so on and so forth. Old news now.

I was being sarcastic as that press release is hardly noteworthy
funding secured; a distant start date; we've heard it many times before

if half the world desires to be a materialistic, sexist, meglomaniac like Trump then please let me off
and, yeah, as a romantic, I find his "business arrangement" with Melenia pathetic
as for the tower, I do want it to go ahead - quality materials offset the average design and it eliminates a parking lot - but the december release felt more like a marketing ploy to drum up new interest than an actual status update

Hey guys, I contacted the city yesterday and today recieved 4 emails back about Trump. The first to say they'll pass the information request on to so and so. The next from so and so saying they're no longer working on it but will forward on my email. Then two more like that. I now have the phone number of the individual at city hall who is in charge of all things Trump. I'll contact him on Monday to find out what's going on :)

so... in terms of two brick houses; brick house A being trump and brick house B being sapphire, would brick house B have more layers of bricks than brick house A? What about quality of said bricks? are they in fine shape, or crumbly pieces of shit?

WTF?
House A not only has a few more courses than House B but will also use a much larger brick . As far as quality is concern, House A will used clay while House B most likely will use concrete

I wonder when mentioning logistics they didn't mention that the work will be done across the street from another skyscraper (BA-Tower) which will be going up similtaneously to the Trump Tower.
It will definetly be a challange for the construction teams working in that narrow space. But that will make the accomplishment of getting this thing off the ground even that much greater.
