I walked past the 2201 site earlier today and it's kinda weird to not see the old land rover dealership there anymore..... that site is going to be huge when it's finished.... not to mention all the foot traffice that will eventually encompass that corrider along westlake with the streetcar and the addition of the new site to start construction soon a few blocks away on 8th and westlake...... I am personally glad to see that area of town being turned into something nice and that will be beneficial to a stgnant area of seattle for so long......

Thanks Paul Allen........

sucg\h glowingpr - paul allen would be thankful to see one of his employees posting this - by the way, why has construction seem to have come to a halt? I see no people or a stick of equipment on that site - when I passed by it a week ago?

Like i said i passed by it earlier today and there was quite a buzz of activity..... also bear in mind that quite a few projects were halted by a couple weeks due to weather and the concrete strike a while back.... but they are now starting on that site...... also does anyone know what is being built on the corner of Denny way and Fairview avenue????? just north of the Micheals store on Denny way.......

Denny & Fairview is a 270-unit or 400-unit, 12-story retirement home. Depends on whether you count the nursing and alzheimers units.

actually - if you reread your post that is not what you said - however, it is good to hear something is actually happening on that site - concrete strike was months ago, so not sure what role that would have played - they have only conducted demo

Yeah, it's funny how Vulcan blames the concrete strike as the reason behind the delay in their projects. How does a 3 week strike back in August still affect today's project starts? Paul Allen needs to clean house, there seems to be some very incompetent ppl working at his company.

I'm glad to hear that work is finally starting at the 2201 site, did you happen to see if demo at Rollin Street (kitty corner from 2201) has started yet?

Demo work has not started yet on rollin.... i assume that wont happen for awhile as the adjoining buildings need to be razed.... hopefully soon though.
