Is San Antonio building skyscrapers these days?

There's 3 highrises under construction there now. The tallest one is the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Hotel which will be 427 feet with 34 floors. It will have 1,000 hotel rooms and 147 condominiums on the top 9 floors. You can see this building under construction in Boris' photos.

There's also a 25-story condominium that broke ground a few months ago. It's across I-37 from downtown near the Alamodome. There's also a 13-story hotel downtown and an 8-story hotel under construction on the northwest side.

There's several buildings planned, too, from 15 to 30 floors. Most of these are residential and hotel uses.

While on business in OKC last summer, I saw their new River Walk. Before seeing it, I wasn't expecting much, considering, as you say, that SA's is the standard. But...I really liked OKC's River Walk. The landscaping is growing rapidly and it won't be long before it will be really beautiful.

Which other cities have River Walks? I didn't know Indy had one.

Fantastic photos! SA looks like a very beautifal place with tons of great architecture. Now this is not a knock on the city at all, but my question is where are all the people in this city. In Canada a city of that Magnitude is bustling with street life and extremely vibrant. This seems like most American cities. Beautiful Downtowns with no people after work hours. Any comments or answers would be greatly appreciated. Other than that, like I said amazing thread...
