edge of the Alps operating UHF-/VHF-transmitters with large range.

Under Pfänder Mountain, there is a 6718 metre long tunnel with 2 lanes, inaugaurated in 1980. A second tunnel for two further lanes is under construction.
On the top of Pfänder an aerial tramway runs.

Today tower is only used for mobile phone services.
