Can't get any higher than this and still be standing on the tower! I was nearly petrefied when i first looked over the edge! Photos taken Saturday 2-10-07. Please do not copy or download these images, thanks.

You really do take excellent pictures.

I don't know when it started, or why it keeps getting worse, but I have such a fear of heights that even those pictures make my stomach flip flop.

The most amazing thing about these shots is all that underutilized real estate hiding under that asphalt on the west side of Piedmont.

What's going on in that last pic. It looks like there is some activity on the lower left of the pic on the west side of Peidmont.

That's the Buckhead Place project, I think. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the Disco Kroger property just north of it. I know there have been some charrettes about what to do with it.

I'm glad it's not just me... I love skylines, construction, etc... but heights really scare me. Like I said, I'm not sure how it evolved or why it gets worse over the years, but it's bad.

I'm really glad that Lenox Mall is being progressive and having the Lenbrook and Related towers built on the property. It takes up an awful lot of space of central Buckhead. Great pics, Joe!

Well, now that's interesting Steve. My sister grew up riding horses, so I don't mind them at all, and I LOOOVE lightning. I used to live in the mountains in Pennsylvania, and the whole back of the house was french doors and lots of windows. I used to enjoy sitting and watching the thunderstorms... and I particularly enjoyed the lightning. Heck, when I lived in Jonesboro the first thing I would do when I heard a good thunderclap was go out to the garage and watch the storm...

I guess you can stick with the heights and I'll enjoy the lightning then. ;)

Great photos jfsatlbldr. Do you get nervous up there?
Yes i did at first but i was too excited to notice my fear. What i was concerned about was that the iron grating was not welded down yet and bounced when i walked on it while at the same time looking thru it to the roof slab some 85' below.

Those are some great views jfsatlbldr. Are those the only pictures you took from up there? Here are two more shots, one shows the grating i was standing on. I have lots more but mostly just detail stuff.

Really amazing pics!!! I have to admit, I'd have second thoughts about getting up there too.

It's funny how there's so much going on on the North side of Peachtree. Lots of space around the container store. Let's see when some of the proposal start construction.

If it was another 300 feet tall, it'd make an awesome BASE jump platform, just run off the end.
