Interesting pics. I've done some temp work at Community Action of Minneapolis, which is located right in the area where many of those pictures were taken (Franklin and Portland). The area seems to have really rejuvinated since the mid 90's. It's encouraging to see some of these neighborhoods improve considering their proximity to downtown. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Portland Gateway project will impact the area.

Minneapolis is a kick-ass American city! It is one of the few I would consider moving to in the US should the occasion arise. :)
