This is a website I stumbled upon a while back run by an elderly man from Sydney. Most of the pictures are submitted to him by visitors. Lots of lost history in the pictures, including the old tramway lines through the towns. Anyway, here's a taste, there's a tonne more on his website, unfortunately you have to sift past a lot of genealogy stuff too.

Unfortunately no. The castle was lost to a mysterious fire, there's a Days Inn and the Cabot House tower on the site now. Most of the buildings you'll see on his site are no longer standing, only some of the streetscapes are still similar.

It burned from the inside. The suspicious circumstances were that Holiday Inn wanted the property, and there was a lot of opposition to them because, for obvious reasons, people wanted the castle saved. While I highly doubt the company was behind it, it could have been an arsonist wanting to see Holiday Inn get the property. The old guardhouse and part of the property wall are still standing in front of Cabot House.
