I just wanted to say thanks to the people of Philadelphia for, begrudgingly i'm sure, letting us down in Nashville have PETER 'THE GREAT' FORSBERG!

This is the biggest trade in the Pred's history, and it really came out of nowhere. Anyway, thanks again. Enjoy Scottie Upshall. :haha:

....he'll only be as good as his foot lets him to be. Also, don't be shocked he resigns with the Flyers in the summer. So...if that does happens...thanks for the players and picks....

And his contract is up at the end of this season. There is just as good a chance that he could sign back in Philly then with the Preds. Or anywhere else for that matter.

In other words, you could have just paid 2 players and 2 draft picks to rent him for the next 25 games (plus post season.)

Bna....your first mistake was to kind of rub our faces in the fact you got Forsberg and that our team sucks. It's not very wise to face rub Philadelphia sports fans....not with us enduring a 24 year championship drought that is the 500 pound Gorilla on this city's back.

You do recall the Flyers paid a heavy price 15 years ago to get Eric Lindros. One of the several players traded was Forsberg plus a bevvy of draft pics. Guess which team made out in the end...the one who got all the players and picks. So don't assume anything. It would rather galling to see a third southern team win the Stanley Cup though.......I can only imagine how even more horrified Canadians would be about that! I actually hope a Canadian team takes the Cup this year since it won't be residing in Philadelphia for the 32nd year in a row.
