Front page article in the BizTimes today on this project which they say was originally proposed at 850 ft/1 million sq ft :wah: but then would have had to wait for the TransBay upzoning process to play out so is now proposed at 550 ft/340,000 sq ft. and green so it complies with current codes and can proceed quickly. The article says they perceive increasing demand for office space--it says Grubb & Ellis is "tracking" demand for 2.5 million sq. ft.--and want to build the building in time to get that business.
