There's no fascinating article to go with this. I was more curious to hear comments on what everyone thinks SF Muni ought to do next with all of its money.

Here are some maps of things that are currently in the works:

Bus Rapid Transit for Van Ness and Geary Blvd.

I voted - but does MUNI have extra money?

^^^They can't seem to balace their budget, but from my understanding, they are working on federal matching funds for the central subway. I am not sure where the money is for the proposed BRT corridors they are currently researching along Geary Blvd and Van Ness. You can find more info about that at www.gearybrt.org (there's a link to the Van Ness BRT from there).

I'm fairly certain that the money for the central subway has to go to the central subway. MUNI is competing with other cities' projects for the money - so they cant just use the money for anything.

I realize this. The posted poll was supposed to reflect what people would like Muni to focus on.
