View Full Version : Guess that Canadian City.

Pages : [1] 2

Thought I'd start up a little game here. Basically, post a series of photographs of a city/town while everyone else will try to guess the name of that city/town. The person who guesses correctly, will choose a new city/town of their choice and the game will continue. NO CHEATING!

I shall start. Guess this city.

^Saint John, NB.

Edit: Do I get it for putting the province and spelling it right. :P

Waterlooson
Feb 23, 2007, 5:05 AM
In English, "St." is the abbrevation of "Saint".... so "St. John" is spelled correctly.

someone123
Feb 23, 2007, 5:08 AM
Saint John is normally written out to avoid confusion with St. John's.

Calgarian

Well, the majority of the pics depict an urban area near a large lake within a forested area, and one pic seems to indicate an agricultural area, so now we need to fit the pieces together.

Hit us up with another one, vid or Albertaboy.

Just to clarify why I said mine was spelt right (though I was being foolish), Saint John, NB always has "Saint" spelled out and St. John's, NL always has "St." the abbreviation, to try to minimize confusion, as someone123 said.
