These were all taken just a few minutes from Rapid City, South Dakota. I hope you enjoy and I apologize for the blurry ones.

I love the picture of the church. There's nothing better than wide open spaces.

That's a neat house. :)

I know, I love it too. The house is actually an old bank and one of the last standing structures of a ghost town called Cascade Springs.

Beautiful places!

I speculate that the church photo might be even more striking in black & white. It's a wonderfully stark and uncluttered scene.

I haven't been there since 1973. I almost forgot how beautiful it is there.
Thanks for the photos.

I hope after seeing a thread like this that anyone who has never been to America gets a small taste of just how beautiful this country is. Our cities are a tiny part of what we really have to offer. I have been fortunate enough to take a few cross country trips and each time I am more amazed.

The contrasting beauties of that area always confused me. Some of those pics look like they're from Vermont and others are just this polar opposite of craggy desert spires.

Reminds me of a previous thread on Sasketchewan which had just this immense variety of landscapes.

Great pics, beautiful scenery. That lonely rowhouse in the middle of nowhere looks absurd!
