Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): This mast collapsed during construction in December 1949 at a storm. It was insulated against ground and was used for transmitting as well in the longwave, mediumwave, FM- and TV-range.
The longwave transmitter, which used it as antenna, was very remarkable, as it was the first broadcasting transmitter, which used AM-compatible SSB-modulation for transmission. Although this method worked well, it was obviously never used later at other long- and mediumwave broadcasting stations, although it allowed saving bandwidth.

In 1964 the mast was dismantled, after UKW-Sendemast Hamburg-Billwerder
