Great pics stu, what do you think of that new mcain hall building up at STU, I was in there the other day doing some studying and I am pretty impressed with the study hall. This building seems to be great for summer uses but not so great for winter, that centre core space seems like a nice feature but I Think it would have been a better space if it was enclosed, it sucks having to go outside to get across that building. Also, if you are waiting for a ride, you can't see them coming from any of the interior spaces so you have to wait outside which kind of sucks. Other than that, it appears to be a decent space.

Great pics! A few notes:

* That church is Christ Church Cathedral, which was built in the 1840s so that Fredericton could officially be recognized as a city.
* I really, really do not like the new copper-top look of the legislature dome. The white meshed better with the rest of the building.
* The Bank of Montreal building is also the NB Power HQ. Of course, the bank only takes up the first floor, NB Power takes up the rest, but it's BMO that owns the building and gets to put its logo on top.
* The statue across from the legislature is of Robbie Burns.

I got a few more pics (not very good though) that I'm going to put up at some point...

good points....personally I like the new copper top BY ITSELF, but if you take in the rest of the picture it looks really out of place...I knew NB Power was in that building but I had no idea they took up that much space lol thats amazing. Wiki says that when the church was built in 1848 only about 50 years after it was a sparsly populated area lol...the church must have looked superly out of place in a little town.

Actually, NBPower owns the building, they just put the BMO logo on top to make people think BMO owns the building. BMO only rents out 2/3 of the first floor, the rest is NBPower. The reason they don't put their logo on top is a political move because for some stupid reason, the general population thinks it's cheaper to rent the 8-1/3 floors than it is to own the building and rent the space to BMO.

wow man, way to bash my two home towns completely :( NB power owns a nice building in downtown fredericton, they are well situated in the area, and there would be little to no benifit for them to move, other than more jobs in SJ. We live in a technological world, e-mail is king, and if there needs to be face to face interaction its only an hours drive.
