Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): Habichtswald Telecommunication Tower is the tallest of the standardized telecommunication towers ( such called type towers, German: Typentürme), which were built by
the former German General Federation Post ( Deutsche Bundespost). All taller telecommunication towers are called special towers ( Sondertürme) as each of them is from individual design.

Beside it is an important TV and FM-transmitter.

The tower is also known as Vingegar Mountain Telecommunication Tower (Fernmeldeturm Essigberg) as it stands on Vinegar Mountain ( Esigberg) a mountain at hawk forest ( Habichtswald)

A source that gives the height is the list on http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typenturm . It is also available by http://www.afsbw.de/content/downloads/Liste_LFH_2005.pdf ( List of aircraft obstacles in Germany) for the given coordinates ( or the object closest to them)
