Yeah, but a city can't be all that developed if a smokestack is still its tallest structure lol.

What is that smokestack anyway? I thought they tore down the generating station.
Did they leave some historic reminders or something?

Yeah they did tear down the generation station, but that was on teh east (Towards Toronto) side of the city.
The stack in the pic is on the west side (towards Oakville) in Clarkson where theres still a massive amount of industry.
Its part of a cement manufacturing complex and something like 500-600ft tall.

Though its much less noticeable then the generating station was to be as you can see.

And for good measure heres a pic to show just how massive the plant was

This is an interesting shot. It makes me think.
Wouldn't a cool postcard shot of Toronto be sort of like this but high resolution and taken from a plane out over Lake Ontario and showing the whole skyline with its towers and low zones, all stretching out over 10s of kilometers from Scarberia to Mississauga? That would be a shot to put Manhaten and Chicago to shame. I think that GTA must have one of the best ultimate skylines in the world from that view. I mean some cities have more skyscrapers centralized in the core, but who has as many towers overall and spread through the whole city as TO?

Moscow has lots of suburban residential highrises.

Impressive pictures for both Toronto and Sauga! I didn't think Mississauga had such a large skyline.

Glad these photos are remaining available, they are some of the best photography of Toronto around. I would love to see an aerial shot that has high enough resolution to show all of the GTA from the perfect angle. Mississauga-Downtown-North York-Scarborough would probably all be viewable from the right angle to the southeast of downtown over Lake Ontario.

Wow, great pano, there are a ton of skyscrapers in Toronto. I really enjoyed the city when I visited, though it was over 10 years ago now. I will have to visit again soon.
