My response to this:
Maybe I am anal, but these threads fly by fast enough... I don't need or want irrelivant information. Doesn't mean I'm not intrested in it, but there are places for these things, and if one can't be found, one can always create a new place. It isn't hard to read the topic titles and deduce where something would go.
While this is an extreme example, it would be liek starting a Dubai thread in say... The Midwest (Chicago) section. No way does it belong there, just as what Fairbanks posted doesn't belong in this particular thread.
This isn't the first time he's gone around and put something in the wrong thread, or the same thing in multiple thread, hence why my response this time around can be viewed as anal. Last time around I was, in my opinion, far more polite voicing my concerns then I was this time around. However, last time around I received a similar response as to what one read above... Hell, he went around voicing the above opinion in threads I never commented to him in, and even the proper thread where he should have posted what he had to say in the first place.
By the way, I still think its a great idea, and I'm sure its been mentioned before, but this wasn't the place for it. It deserves its own thread.
I stand by what I have said, and what I say now... Only uncertainty is what I may or may not say in the future.
