Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): Large Coal-fired power station. The boilers of this power station is hung up on 4 120 metre tall support towers. This allow its thermal expansion toward the bottom.
The power station has also a 234 metre tall chimney, the tallest free-standing structure of Saarland ( Saar County).
It is not the first power station at the site. The first power station there was built in 1918.
