I brought my camera into the city last weekend for the French Quarter Fest, and came back with quite a few photos from around the Quarter and the CBD. Hope you enjoy!

The first photos were taken in the CBD, from there we'll go throughout the Quarter, back through the CBD, and eventually down to the riverfront.

And now for the photos(it may take awhile to load)...

thanks for the memories! I'm a southern transplant from NO...now living in Boston... ho hum, yawn.....B-O-R-I-N-G! Brings back lots of memories, ones that I would never get away with in the "Puritan State that is Massachusetts"!! Lived there for 12 years, uptown. Good to see that parts of the city (FQ) are still thriving. The city has the most character of any I've ever lived in in the US.
thanks!!

God damn mangs. New Orleans... I hope to god the city comes back, and surpasses where it was before that fucking Hurricane.

It is...I'm watching it...but, as the saying goes down here..."Katrina has taught me patience." We all feel this way. The rest of the country needs to have patience. We are in virgin territory. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't recall ever hearing about 250,000 urban homes being flooded to the ceiling. It takes time to clean this crap up, but we are making serious headway. I'm dead serious. Come check it out. I just moved into a recovery area (Mid-City) and I love it. Everybody is coming back in this neighborhood. I saw 4 U-Hauls just on my street this past Saturday. They are moving in now....
