To all of you local Upstaters...
Looks like I might be in the area next weekend (roughly May 3rd-6th)... Mainly to visit my dad in Spartanburg, but of course I'd be up for visiting any available SSPers in the general area (pretty much anywhere from Charlotte to Greenville to Asheville to Columbia). Anyone want to meet up?
I'll know for sure what my plans are by Wednesday at the latest...

Looks like I won't be out next weekend, but the weekend after next (May 10th-13th). Definitely up for meeting some local or regional forumers!

My plans are now set for the 10th-13th of May... My dad and I are going to go somewhere (probably Atlanta, Myrtle Beach, or Charleston) on Friday night, but I'll have Thursday evening and Saturday evening open, as well as most of the day on Sunday...
If we end up going to Atlanta, any good ideas for hotels perhaps near the new aquarium?

Gee, now that I'm talking to myself here... ;) So, who here has been to the Georgia Aquarium? My dad and I are staying Friday (May 11) night at the Omni CNN Center, and are going to see the aquarium on Saturday morning.
Since we'll be in town around noon or so on Friday, any good ideas for other things to see and do than the aquarium in the downtown area? I know next to nothing about Atlanta honestly, so any information would be great!
Thanks!

^^^Oh, so you want to know about that city called Greenville, eh? ;) GO downtown when you come here. :) I went to the Georgia Aquarium last year. Get your tickets off their website for a certain reservation time. That's what I did and it's the best thing to do. The aquarium doesn't have as many exhibits as you think, because must of them are very large, but it is still very nice and large looking though. :)

:) Trust me, I've been to downtown Greenville, g-man435. And it's definitely a very nice place! I'd say my favorite spot near downtown is definitely the pedestrian bridge over the Reedy River...
