Would Gretzky have moved to LA if he hadn't met Janet? Not that her film career ever went anywhere beyond 'Police Academy'. I recall the teary day that he announced his move...I mark it as the beginning of the Gary Bettmanization of our great sport. That's never been said, or reported, anywhere. She was caught betting with her hubby's asst. coach, who was since fired. But I'm sure Mr. G's lawyers would get pretty excited to read this statement of yours.

In fact Mr Gretzky was cleared of ANY involvement very early on in the investigation and I have never seen any story that has him implicated other than being the husband of a lady who has a well documented history of gambling. I would be interested in seeing the story you have referred to Taller Better, any links?

While I can't speak for others, I am hardly upset at you Taller Better, just what you reported lacks any real substance.
You wrote that his wife was betting on his behalf, that in itself is a fairly brave statement to make/report and one that could lead to some serious headaches down the road if those implicated ever got wind of it.

I notice that Taller Better has deleted his original post and modified one, or more of the follow ups and that makes some of the following posts redundant.

In the original post there was NO link to any story, or even a reference to one.
It was a post by Taller Better, that among other things, stated that Janet Gretzky had placed bets on behalf of her husband with no mention of the Chatelaine article.
