Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): This mast is used for transmitting the AM-radio program of AFN to the employees ( and their families) of Ramstein Air Base and the other military facilities around Kaiserslautern. The used frequency is 1107 kHz and the transmission power 10 kW.
The mast is a half-wave mast radiator insulated against ground and situated south of Sambach, a village belonging to Otterbach. Uncommon is, that this transmitter uses in spite of its low transmission power a half-wave radiator as antenna.
