It's been going on for years that parks in Texas have been under funded. I remmber reading about Bastrop State Park in general. Some people were even getting laid off. It's sad. I can't imagine how crappy it would be to lose Bastrop. What a beautiful place that is, one of the most scenic in the state. Lost Maples and Davis Mountains State Park are two others that I favor.

Once a park is gone... it's gone forever. Buildings are cool, but parks are cooler.
