I saw a tractor demolishing the garage yesterday across from the Four Points and next to that empty dump of a building on 2nd and Morrison. Anyone have any info?

^It doesn't look like a garage from the above view as it is only one story up and a half a story below grade but it is what looks like the little over a quarter block lot across from the Four Points and BofA Tower right there on the corner of First and Morrison.

Hopefully that office building on the same block will share the same fate..

I saw this on my way down to ZGF. Looks like they are moving right along in breaking through the top level. I tried to get a top view pic from the fish garage, but I was blocked by the tree canopy.

seems to me you don't tear down a parking garage that can hold three times as much as a regular surface lot if there isn't something planned for the space...I wish I could find out what though...

Ha! I just walked past this garage a few days ago and noted how awful it was. I hope something good comes of this...Also, isn't this near the morrison bridgehead? Whatever happened to the plan to develop that site?

Maybe there were safety issues with the garage.

over in the Industrial area I noticed a warehouse yesterday being torn down on SE Salmon and SE Water Street. That will leave two full blocks empty over there.

Nothing is currently planned for the Morrison Bridgehead. Mult Co flirted with the idea of developing one of the blocks into the new courthouse. Maybe with the new board and biz savvy Wheeler, they will start marketing the site?

I was down by there today with my camera handily tucked into my bag, so I decided to grab a couple of shots. Not many good angles to capture with such a low structure.

^thanks for the pics Green City. I can't believe we are still stuck with that garbage!

over in the Industrial area I noticed a warehouse yesterday being torn down on SE Salmon and SE Water Street. That will leave two full blocks empty over there.

now that the old warehouse is mostly gone, I noticed an additional empty block on the other side leaving three blocks in a row completely unused.

MarkDaMan

^nope, that's a few block away and still standing burned out. I don't even know who own's the three empty blocks but they haven't been converted to surface parking...yet anyway.
