¡Hola amigos - soy nuevo aquí!
Spanish is one of the most beautiful languages in the world - but I hope you don't mind me posting in English for now. I am loving learning it at the moment but it would probably be best for me to write this here in English for clarity :)
I have visited DF many times over the last year and have fallen in love with it - and so intend moving there this December!! I am writing here as I want to find a couple of apartments - and being a skyscraper lover like most of you, I of course am looking for accommodation of the "higher" kind :) I have visited St Regis on Reforma (which was nice but last month, most of the apartments with a view had been sold except the penthouses) and Reforma 90 and 222 (not much left in 222 as well).
What I want to find is two apartments with great views (which will hopefully be protected - i.e. on the edge of Chapultepec park where no one can build in front of you and destroy your vista etc), preferably on higher floors. Both need to be in the Chapultepec de Lomas, Polanco, Reforma or Condensa regions - basically near Chapultepec park with good access south. One needs to be a one bedroom apartment that will be ready to live-in before March '08 and the other is a longer term investment, hence I have been looking at Reforma 90 as the views should be amazing (I went to the top of the Hotel next door which is lower and they were great...:D).
So dear-wonderful-amazing SkyscraperPage Forum members (;)) - could any of you suggest developments/towers? My budget is up to $7 million MXN for the first one and $14 million or so for the second.
I hope you can suggest developments (the first is more important at the moment) and that this doesn't break forum rules (Snr moderators?).
Muchas Gracias amigos

Yeah well I don't live in Mexico City but the twin towers in Polanco called Residencial del Bosque must have a spectacular vista and the apartments should be very nice, those towers were designed by Cesar Pelli so you can probably get an idea of what you are up to.
You can check out some pictures of it here http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/cx/?id=residencialdelbosque-mexicocity
http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n131/kiwibois/torresdelbosque25ba.jpg
Torre Altus (195 meters, +600ft) has probably the best view of the whole city and with your budget I think you should have to trouble finding a nice aparment with nice views

Those are the ones that come to my mind right now
One question, where are you from? :)

Jajaja - eso es una buena broma Nicodemo, pero no pienso que me dejarán :)

Thanks guys - I have seen these towers when I visited the Museo nacional de antropología de México and they looked cool - one for my list but I am under the impression that they are nearer the $1.2 million US mark :( I will have to save up I guess...
Torre Altus (195 meters, +600ft) has probably the best view of the whole city ...
Torre Altus does look good, but as far as I'm aware, it is one apartment per floor, and so they are both expensive and a bit far out - I need to be able to travel towards the South regularly, to Tlalpan - and you know DF traffic... :) (or perhaps that should be :()
...and with your budget I think you should have to trouble finding a nice aparment with nice views
Do you mean that I will have trouble finding an apartment because my budget is very low or because of availability Kiwiboy?
One question, where are you from? :)
¡Hola kiwiboy! Soy de Londres. Estoy acabando mis estudios en la universidad y entonces estoy viniendo a México al trabajo del finda, esperanzadamente en una Banka.
Thank you so much guys, please keep you suggestions coming

Welcome to our city, you could have a Best search at www.metroscubicos.com or www.guiadinmuebles.com great apartments with fantastic views, Kiwiboy's recommendation are some of the best, on those pages you will find availability, prices & much much more. :-)
If you need RealState assistance may be on http://directory.com.mx/real-estate/Mexico-City/
Magazines are good source too.... Real State, Metros Cubicos, etc.

It is obvious that because of your needs and likes your best options are Reforma 222, Reforma 90 or any apartment you can find in Polanco facing Chapultepec park, but if you can´t there are still very good apartments deeper in Polanco or you can even try in Palmas becuase there are some new apartments there, not so high, around 10-15 floors, if you can not find anything else you can go there, just if you don´t know where Palmas is, it is by the intersection of Reforma and Periferico, Scotiabank headquarters are there.

Regarding the apartments issue, i was trying to remember the different choices . . . there is CAPITAL REFORMA which will includes the PARK HYATT HOTEL & RESIDENCES, the problem is that won`t be available `til 2009  , PRESIDENTE INTERCONTINENTAL SUITES & TOWER will offer private executive suites, but we have the same problem . . . it might be available before CAPITAL REFORMA, but not before 2008 :(
So perhaps your best choice now is to buy a used apartment and then you will have more choices, some examples : RESIDENCIAL FUNDICION, RESIDENCIAL DEL BOSQUE, TORRE LOMAS, TORRE ALTUS, etc . .
So good luck and please let us know whenever you move to MC!, it will be my pleasure to provide you further general info about México

Hola Sergio!
Creo que no hay muchas (15 pisos o más) torres más altas allí. Aunque podría ser incorrecto ;)
