Lets here it.

Actually my Avatar is my first but it's not in the database to upload.

How can I post them directly in the message?

They are excellent drawings - especially for your first ones.

To post them directly, on the drawing right click and press 'copy shortcut', then paste that into the IMG box.

If you want the building in your avatar added to the database use this thread: http://www.skyscraperpage.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=521

Thanks. I am inspired by a lot of illustrators here, such as, Jai-C, Chris Malayko, Anthony Sun (one of the best IMO), Koz, Dylan, Taylor lots of good work.

I'm using Adobe Illustrator v.10. It seems a lot of illustrators are using "paint style" software. Is anyone using Adobe Illustrator? Also, what's the consensus on "landscaping" your drawings. ie bushes, flags, trees etc in front of the base of the building.

These are pretty good! Improve your skills from drawing to drawing and you'll become an excellent illustrator :)

Thanks for the compliment! :D

I was already impressed with your diagrams before I read this reply, now I like them even more! :haha:

Anyway, I'm not too sure if there are many illustrators using Illustrator, I think many opt for Photoshop instead.

LOL, sorry Rob, been busy as hell lately... you know doing two jobs, one full-time, one from home after work... phew!

Thanks Rob and Tony.

Rob, I'm at the Stelco Tower (Jackson Square under Stelco) every day. I was looking at the top and it's not counted in the roof height, it's more like a fence, to hide the ugly stuff they put on top of buildings, and it's at least two floors high. I asked a maintenance guy one day and he said "20 feet", "so no one can throw anything off" "it's windy up there"

Rob I want to do Picton Place in London next, any photos?

Damien Koh, one of the great pioneers of the drawings here, used Illustrator (I think he may have stopped at one point, but I'm not sure). He always had great results, especially when viewed at high resolution.

As for the landscaping debate, it's been discussed before. On one hand, those items are temporary and not part of the actual structure you are drawing. But on the other hand, they can really enhance a drawing, especially when those trees, etc, are critical to the image of the structure. For a good example of effective use of trees in a drawing, see Joern's Chateau Frontenac (http://www.skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?3499011).

My take on it is that if it enhances the drawing in your opinion, then there's no reason why not.

What city should I fill in next? I know Mississauga needs more. I did Erie PA, worked on Buffalo, Cleveland, Toledo, Dayton and Akron. These are great old cities with great old buildings. I'm partial to great lake cities.

Mississauga can always use a shot in the arm, or else it will always be known as the sprawlly suburb that it is. ;)
